Crystal Sturgis has bachelors’ degrees in biology from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and in physician assistant studies from UW-Madison. She also has a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska in physician assistant studies.
As a physician assistant, Crystal is able to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician. Physician assistants obtain medical histories and perform examinations and procedures, order treatments, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medication, interpret diagnostic tests, assist with surgery and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
Crystal views education as a key part of her role as a physician assistant. She wants to help patients understand their treatment options so they can make informed decisions.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and running, camping and playing softball.
