Kenneth Kleist, MD

Dr. Kenneth Kleist is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago which included extensive training in a variety of areas from minimally invasive joint replacement to complex revision surgery.
Dr. Kleist received his medical and undergraduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin and completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Kleist comes to ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus after being in a joint replacement practice in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where he was a professor for the University of Minnesota’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery. While in Minnesota he was also an active member of Minnesota Medical Association Quality Committee. He is interested in continuing his efforts here in focusing on the quality of care for individuals receiving joint replacements.
Dr. Kleist enjoys working with patients to get them back to the activities they enjoy as pain-free as possible. He understands that everyone has different needs and desires and tries to customize the treatment plan to fit the needs of the individual patient.
In his free time, Dr. Kleist enjoys snowboarding, camping, fishing, biking, and spending time with his family.
