Joan Dobberstein received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also taken several continuing education courses from Michigan State Osteopathic College with a special interest in women’s health issues, especially the treatment of urinary incontinence.
As a physical therapist, Joan can diagnose and treat patients with limited ability to move or perform activities. Physical therapists examine patients and develop treatment plans to help them move better,reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.
Joan says her role as a physical therapist is to help patients understand their conditions and then work together to relieve symptoms. She is a member of the American and Wisconsin Physical Therapy Associations.
In her free time, Joan enjoys traveling and gardening. Joan sees patients at ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus™ at Appleton Medical Center.
